Miami Beach, Florida, United States of America
Colony Hotel [English]

Architecture
The Colony Hotel is considered to be the first Streamline Moderne building on Ocean Drive, and one of the earliest examples of the style in general. The whole beach resort's aesthetic was significantly influenced by it. Built during the Great Depression, it targeted middle-class tourists and offered very modern amenities for its time. The hotel's iconic T-shaped neon signage has become a local landmark.
