The Esterházy Palace in Eisenstadt was originally constructed in the 13th century as a Gothic castle. During the 17th century, it underwent a transformation into a Baroque grand residence under the direction of the Esterházy noble family, who subsequently utilized it as their seat. The Esterházy Palace is particularly renowned for its Haydn Hall, which is associated with the renowned composer Joseph Haydn. From 1761 to 1803, Haydn served as court musician, Kapellmeister, and composer at the Esterházy court.
