Architecture

The Omar Ibn Al-Khatab Mosque is the third largest mosque in South America. It was constructed to address the need of the Muslim community in Foz do Iguaçu, which numbers over 25,000 people, for a place of prayer and congregation. The mosque features one of the largest free-span reinforced concrete domes in Latin America.
